In 2002, Dr. Bob Hieronimus published the result of decades of research on The Beatles’ 1969 animated classic Yellow Submarine. Drawing from his own training in symbology and interviews with the lead designers on the film, Hieronimus felt he’d finally managed to say everything there was about the importance of this animated classic.

Soon after its publication, more artists began reaching out to Bob, detailing their experiences working on the film. These were of a younger lot — illustrators, animators, and other artists who worked under lead designer Heinz Edelmann. Vol. 2 details their story and is much more focused on the project as a community effort — exemplifying Hieronimus’s frequent refrain that each individual must know their strength and purpose in order to align with a higher consciousness. With the help of long-time Hieronimus & Co Executive Producer, Laura E. Cortner, It’s All In The Mind hit shelves in 2022.
